December 1 2015 –

Every day, countless citizens volunteer their time and effort assisting those in need. At this time of the year, it is especially time to give thanks to those worthy charitable organizations and their staff and volunteers, who unselfishly and often thanklessly devote their time. Happy STEPtember

Thank you so much for extraordinary support of the steps taken for BOOST through STEPtember. Team BOOST raised $6,885 with online and offline donations. I stepped with Sam’s mom (Isis), Joseph’s mom (Crystal), and Royce’s mom (Jennifer) and together we raised funds and awareness for BOOST and UCP of the North Bay. — Katie

Part of UCP’s Commitment to Wellness, STEPtember challenges people worldwide to take 10,000 steps per day while raising funds – and awareness – for people with disabilities.

Thank you to our corporate Partner Summit State Bank for helping UCP of the North Bay to take over 41 million steps during the month of STEPtember! Summit State Bank sponsored 14 teams representing branches from Petaluma to Cloverdale. Together we raised over $11,000 for people with disabilities in our community. Here is UCP of the North Bay employees Kim, thanking Summit team members Melissa, Charlene, and Lily.

Get Your Groove on at the CECO Social!

Register to attend the Conductive Education Center of Orlando’s event on November 5:

From the team at CECO,

“Since 2001, CECO has been providing hope for families that have been searching for the place where the impossible IS possible. CECO offers a special needs school day kindergarten through 12th grade, summer camp, early intervention ages 6 months to 4 years old and walking challenge program.

Conductive Education is a unique, holistic educational approach to help children with Cerebral Palsy and other motor disabilities achieve their greatest level of independence through physical and cognitive activities.

We welcome families and our community friends to stop by and tour our facility…see how hard the children work on a daily basis to obtain their greatest potential.”

Just a month ago, Patrick continued to rely on the support of his canes to walk. Now look at him go! With your support, we can make the impossible, possible! Watch this great video of Patrick walking.

Boost Camp Graduation

The two BOOST Conductive Education winners are Sina Logoai, who did a lovely graduation Hawaiian dance with her sisters, and Lucas Stisher. A very big congratulations to our two reward recipients at the “Life without Limits” awards night. Wishing these bright stars an even brighter future!
